This session will include some important insights about bilingualism from the research literature, ideas about how to exploit this topic in teaching, and reference to useful resources for learning more about bi-/multilingualism.

Leila Ranta is an associate professor in the TESL program in the department of Educational Psychology at the University of Alberta. She has been teaching courses on the topic of bilingualism for many years.
